Medical vocabulary/ injuries: 

1. Rash: A noticeable change in the texture or color of the skin, often itchy or inflamed.

Example: She broke out in a rash after touching poison ivy.

2. Fever: A temporary increase in body temperature, often due to an illness.

Example: He had a fever of 102°F last night.

3. Insect bite: A small wound or irritation caused by the bite or sting of an insect.

Example: The mosquito left a red insect bite on her arm.

4. Chills: Feelings of coldness often accompanied by shivering, sometimes linked to fever.

Example: He felt chills running down his spine as his fever rose.

5. Black eye: Bruising around the eye usually caused by trauma to the face.

Example: He got a black eye during the soccer match.

6. Headache: Pain or discomfort in the head or neck area.

Example: Staring at the screen for too long gave her a headache.

7. Stomachache: Pain or discomfort in the stomach or abdominal area.

Example: He had a stomachache after eating too much pizza.

8. Backache: Pain in the lower, middle, or upper back.

Example: Poor posture can cause a backache.

9. Toothache: Pain in or around a tooth.

Example: She went to the dentist because of a severe toothache.

10. High blood pressure: A condition where the force of the blood against artery walls is too high.

Example: High blood pressure can increase the risk of heart disease.

11. Cold: A common viral infection causing a runny nose, sore throat, and coughing.

Example: He caught a cold after walking in the rain.

12. Sore throat: Pain or irritation in the throat often caused by a cold or infection.

Example: Drinking warm tea helped soothe her sore throat.

13. Tongue depressor: A flat wooden tool used by doctors to press down the tongue for mouth and throat examinations.

Example: The doctor used a tongue depressor to check his throat.

14. Sprain: An injury to a ligament caused by twisting or stretching.

Example: She sprained her ankle while running.

15. Stretch bandage: An elastic bandage used to wrap injuries for support and compression.

Example: He wrapped a stretch bandage around his sprained wrist.

16. Infection: The invasion of the body by harmful microorganisms causing illness.

Example: The wound became red and swollen due to an infection.

17. Broken bone: A fracture or crack in a bone.

18. Cut: An opening or break in the skin caused by a sharp object.
